The 75th Yosemite Wranglers Reunion is scheduled in April.
The event will be at McCay Hall in Catheys Valley on Sunday, April 19. Setup is at 9 a.m. with a short business meeting scheduled for 11 a.m.
The Wranglers Reunion is for all people who have worked for the National Park Service or the concession stables.
With a change in bylaws, the group is also inviting anyone involved in horse and mule operations in Yosemite to participate. Those include backcountry rangers, front country horse patrol, backcountry utilities, trail crews, CCC backcountry, high camp staff and anyone interested in furthering equine use in the park.
The event is billed as “a good time with all your friends to raise money for a good cause.”
A potluck lunch will be part of the event and people are asked to bring their favorite dish and an auction item. There will be an auction/fundraiser after lunch. Only cash or checks will be accepted.
Organizers said the event is a chance for people to visit with old friends and catch up with current employees while promoting horse and mule operations in Yosemite.
No alcohol is allowed at the reunion but organizers said “afterwards at local establishments” is likely.
The event is being hosted by Nanci Adinolfi and JR Gehres. For more information, call (530) 736-6245.
