Editor,
As a small, local nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the Merced Wild and Scenic River, it would be impossible to do this work without the support of our community.
On behalf of the entire board of the Upper Merced River Watershed Council, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to the businesses and individuals who helped make our annual Merced River Fest event at the Grove House a success: Nick Warner and Selena Makena, Steve and Rosemarie Smallcombe, Margarita King, Scott and Madelyn McGrath at McGrath Arts, Hannalore Fischer, Jacqui Bauer, Linda Bassett, Troian Cumming, Christina Rouse, Zephyr Whitewater, KEEN, Tenaya Lodge, Casto Oaks, Yosemite Bug, Yosemite Pilates, Yosemite Conservancy, Raw Roots Farm, Fremont House, The Alley, Little Shop of Ramen, The Local Grape, Mostly Sweet Jewelry, The Approach Trading Post, Chef Zachariah Reese, Yosemite Flower Farm, Sticks, Sierra Sown, Native Earth, Sal’s Tacos and Pierce Motor Center Boat Repair.
And thank you to all who bought tickets to the Wild and Scenic Film Festival where proceeds directly support educational opportunities, stewardship programs and partnership based projects to keep our community engaged and the Merced River wild and scenic.
Sincerely,
Kristina Rylands
Watershed Director and Board Vice Chair
