Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino continued its legacy of philanthropy by hosting a recent blood drive to support the Central California Blood Center.

More than 300 Chukchansi employees members attended the drive at the resort and casino, enabling the blood center to save more than 600 local lives as a direct result of the Chukchansi blood donations.

In addition to supporting the blood drive, the operation’s Food & Beverage team prepared meals for all 1,161 team members working that day as part of the resort’s ongoing appreciation efforts for employees participating in the event and supporting the community initiative.

Through its Chukchansi Cares charitable giving program, the resort enterprise continuously aims to make a positive difference in the lives of others in the areas of local community, health and human services, culture and education.

The program donates thousands of dollars to local nonprofit organizations every year, in total giving over $20 million in charitable dollars toward community benefit programs, according to a statement from the organization.

“We’re incredibly proud of our team members and community members who continue to support life-saving causes like this,” said Christopher Mavroudis, Human Resources Director at Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino.

Every donation has the power to make a meaningful difference for local patients and families, and this blood drive is another reflection of the generous spirit behind Chukchansi Cares.

Officials with the blood center are grateful for the participation.

Chukchansi Gold’s continued commitment to the Central California Blood Center has made a lasting impact on the lives of patients throughout our community,” said Terry Sananikone, territory representative for the Central California Blood Center.

With the most recent blood drive we registered 304 donors and collected 205 units of blood, saving over 600 lives. This is truly amazing as we serve over 20 hospitals throughout the Central Valley. Their team consistently shows up with generosity, compassion and a genuine desire to help others. We are grateful for this longstanding partnership and the hundreds of lifesaving donations it continues to inspire each year.

Chukchansi’s philanthropic efforts and encouragement for team members to get involved in the community is one of the many reasons the resort has been named the Best Place to Work yearly in the Fresno Bee’s People’s Choice Awards.
