Happy Birthday, Roosevelt!

Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad is gearing up for a fantastic season with themed events this month and beyond. History and fun come together at the historic 3-foot narrow gauge heritage railway located in Fish Camp just south of Yosemite National Park.

Over the years, thousands of visitors have enjoyed the steam train excursions through the Sierra National Forest. Activities include the daily one hour narrated trips, moonlight special evening barbecue trains, special events, gold panning, group tours, weddings and corporate events.

Happy birthday, dear Theodore

Coming up is “Roosevelt’s Birthday Ride — A Storytelling Adventure” on Tuesday, Oct. 27

Guests will join New York Times bestselling author Chris Epting for an afternoon of storytelling about Theodore Roosevelt’s landmark trip to Yosemite, the role of John Muir, Abraham Lincoln’s influence on protecting Yosemite, early photography in the park and the contributions of Black soldiers who patrolled and protected the area.
