JAIL BOOKING REPORT

Here are some of the highlights from the recent booking reports at the Mariposa County Jail. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

March 30 – Spencer Joseph Meacham, 39, Mariposa, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol level of 0.08 or higher.

March 31 – Gerald Martin, 72, Mariposa, was arrested for domestic battery.

April 1 – Marc Joseph Farias Jones, 34, Mariposa, was arrested for kidnapping, false imprisonment with violence, corporal injury to a spouse and child abuse. • Franklin Curtis Teegarden, 60, Mariposa, was arrested for possession of unlawful paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and being under the influence of a controlled substance. • Gerald Martin, 72, Mariposa, was arrested for violation of a domestic violence court order. • Mario Alejandro Yanez, 37, Mariposa, was arrested for driving under the influence, failure to provide financial responsibility, no registration, possession of unlawful paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

SHERIFF’S REPORT

March 30 – A domestic disturbance occurred on Fournier Road in Mariposa. • Illegal dumping was reported on Priest Coulterville Road in Greeley Hill. • Someone disturbed the peace on Fournier Road in Mariposa. • An ambulance was requested on Highway 140 in El Portal.

March 31 – A hit and run/property damage was reported on Highway 140 in Mariposa. • A juvenile was refusing to obey on Greeley Hill Road in Greeley Hill. • Vandalism occurred on Ben Hur Road and Highway 49 South in Mariposa. • Harassment was reported on Smith Road in Mariposa. • Trespassing occurred on Colorado Road in Midpines.

April 1 – Child molestation was reported on 10th Street in Mariposa. • A stolen vehicle was reported on Ramsden Road in Mariposa. • A fire occurred on Dogtown Road in Greeley

Hill. • A scam was reported on Ponderosa Way in Greeley Hill. • Assault/battery occurred on Fournier Road in Mariposa.

April 2 – A disabled vehicle was reported on Chowchilla Mountain Road in Ponderosa Basin. • A traffic collision occurred on Highway 140 in El Portal. • A traffic stop occurred on Darrah Road and Owl Creek Road in Bootjack. • Grand theft was reported on Sherrod Road in Bootjack.

April 3 – A fire was reported on Highway 49 North in Mariposa. • Trespassing occurred on Highway 140 in Catheys Valley. • A vehicle check occurred on Miller Road and Old Highway South in Mariposa. • A traffic stop occurred on Silva Road in Bootjack.

April 4 – Unsafe shooting was reported on Red Flat Road in Greeley Hill. • A welfare check occurred on Coachman Road in Ponderosa Basin. • A burglar alarm was reported on Ashworth Road in Bootjack. • Reckless driving occurred on Highway 49 South in Ben Hur. • Trespassing was reported on Fournier Road in Mariposa.

April 5 – An ambulance was requested on Manzanita Road in Woodland. • An animal was reported on Wildcat Springs Road in Woodland. • A juvenile was refusing to obey on Scott Road in Mariposa. • A suspicious person was reported on Hornitos Road in Catheys Valley.

The above listed calls are actual reports to the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office dispatch. These are just a sampling of recent calls, but are in no way all inclusive. The intent of this log is to demonstrate the wide array of issues with which Mariposa County law enforcement must deal with, in addition to investigation of serious crimes and their routine patrol.
