JAIL BOOKING REPORT

Here are some of the highlights from the recent booking reports at the Mariposa County Jail. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

March 16 – Cheryl Bybee, 61, Mariposa, was arrested for battery.

March 17 – Booking report not available.

March 18 – Antonio Samano Cortes Jr., 38, Mariposa, was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance.

March 19 – Marcus Paul Wright, 60, Midpines, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance for sale, manufacturing, selling or possessing a prohibited weapon, a bench warrant, possession of unlawful paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with two or more priors. • Keenen Nathaniel Johnson, 33, Mariposa, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and obstructing a public officer.

March 20 – No bookings to report.

March 21 – Sayed Rasoul Sadaat, 22, Sacramento, was arrested for improper disposal of trash, disorderly conduct and being under the influence of alcohol/controlled substance in Yosemite National Park.

March 22 – Misael Padilla Castillo, 28, Sonora, was arrested for driving under the influence while on probation, failure to appear after written promise, driving with a suspended license, hit and run and driving while under the influence with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 or higher.

SHERIFF’S REPORT

March 16 – An ambulance was requested on Varain Road in Mariposa. • An animal was reported on Greeley Hill Road in Greeley Hill. • Suspicious circumstances occurred on Highway 140 in Mariposa. • Mail theft was reported on 10th Street in Mariposa. • A fire occurred on East Whitlock Road in Midpines.

March 17 – Loose stock was reported on 7th Street in Mariposa. • Kidnapping was reported on 10th Street in Mariposa. • A traffic collision occurred on Highway 49 South and Allred Road in Bootjack. • A fire was reported on Triangle Road in Mariposa. • A domestic disturbance occurred on Rancho Vista Drive in Bootjack.

March 18 – Fraud was reported on Leichtlin Lane in Midpines. • Vandalism occurred on Greeley Hill Road in Greeley Hill. • Trespassing was reported on Highway 140 in Mariposa. • Repossession occurred on Harris Road in Ponderosa Basin. • Assault/battery was reported on Highway 140 in Mariposa.

March 19 – Suspicious circumstances were reported on Italian Creek in Woodland. • A scam occurred on Tierra Rosa Court in Mariposa. • An ambulance was requested on Wild Rose Court in Catheys Valley. • A burglary was reported on Buckeye Road in Mariposa.

March 20 – Assault/battery was reported on Scott Road in Jerseydale. • Someone was a danger to self or others on Lake McClure Road in Don Pedro. • Threats were made on Bear Valley Road in Bear Valley. • Violation of a court order occurred on Princeton Way in Mt. Bullion. • A suspicious vehicle was reported on Lone Oak Drive in Greeley Hill.

March 21 – An abandoned vehicle was reported on Highway 49 South in Ponderosa Basin. • An ambulance was requested on Rancheria Creek Road in Midpines. • A domestic disturbance occurred on River Haven Drive in Woodland. • Fraud occurred on Stout Lane in Greeley Hill.

March 22 – Smoke was seen on Mueller Road in Mariposa. • Grand theft occurred on Chowchilla Mountain Road in Ponderosa Basin. • A fire was reported on Cotton Creek Road in Bear Valley. • A welfare check was requested on Quail Mine Road in Greeley Hill. The above listed calls are actual reports to the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office dispatch. These are just a sampling of recent calls, but are in no way all inclusive. The intent of this log is to demonstrate the wide array of issues with which Mariposa County law enforcement must deal with, in addition to investigation of serious crimes and their routine patrol.
