The Grizzlies hot streak continues as the Mariposa County High School varsity baseball team increased their league record to 4-0 last week.

Carmine Sandoval got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Peyton Getty went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base and two RBI.

Reid Allison continues to be a factor as he went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one stolen base.

The two teams were back at it on March 19, this time on Ed Vegely Field at MCHS.

The Grizzlies won again, but this time they shut out the Wildcats 10-0.

Ben Lingenfelter was a beast on the mound as he didn’t allow a single earned run and recording 11 strike outs over five innings pitched.

Lingenfelter was also a factor at the plate, going 1-for-2 with four RBI, two runs and one stolen base.

Mason Bissmeyer went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs and two RBI, while Allison got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Sandoval was another key player as he went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI and one run.

The Grizzlies took a short break from league play as they took the field against the Eagles at Firebaugh on March 23.

Delhi came to town on March 24 where league action continued at MCHS.

Results for these games were not available at press time.

Next up, the Grizzlies will be the visiting team against Delhi on March 26.
