Laura Jean James passed away on March 2, 2026, in Reno, Nev.
Laura was born on Aug. 4, 1945 to Clarence and Helen Tedrow in Mariposa. She is reunited with her husband, Larry, who passed on June 5, 2025.
She leaves behind her daughters, Tammy Yarmey, Trina Granville, son Timothy James and surviving sister Barbara Woods along with brother Ben Tedrow, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Laura got her degree in accounting and used her knowledge working for the city of Gilroy, where she retired.
In her youth, she loved horses and drawing and painting. Later in life, Laura was very active in the First Baptist Church of Mariposa, dedicating many years assisting in the prayer chain.
Private family services will be held in memory of Laura.
