Homecoming in Catheys Valley slated for April 18

The 2026 Catheys Valley Homecoming is set for April 18.

The annual event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at McCay Hall, located at 2820 Highway 140 in Catheys Valley.

There will be an opening ceremony and flag raising at 10 a.m.

Many activities for the whole family will be featured throughout the day.

A corn hole tournament is also on tap for the event and people are encouraged to sign up in advance.

There will be vendor booths, lots of good and a chance for people to visit with family and friends. Historical displays will also be part of the festivities.

In addition, there will be information about current businesses in Catheys Valley as well as youth groups. There will also be tours of the historic schoolhouse.

Vendors will include local businesses, crafts, community organizations and more.

In addition to the corn hole tournament, there will be many other youth games and more.

Lunch will be served by the Catheys Valley Historical Society. It will be $10 and includes a hamburger, chips and pasta salad. Drinks will be sold by the Catheys Valley Baptist Church and include tea, water and lemonade.

There will be a dessert bake sale by the Catheys Valley 4-H group.

Proceeds stay local, organizers said, and will support various groups in Catheys Valley.
