The Mariposa FFA Fabrication Team competed in the Fresno ROP Trailer Build-Off Contest last month where students were challenged to build a 5×8 single axle trailer from raw materials.
This marks an impressive milestone for the program as this is the first year Mariposa FFA has had a fabrication team and it was the group’s first time competing in a fabrication contest.
Mariposa FFA is proud of the craftsmanship, work ethic and pride these students showed throughout the entire build.
The group thanked Fresno ROP for hosting an outstanding event; Fresno City College for supporting both the contest and students; Westair and Fresno Oxygen Welding Supplies for sponsoring the competition; Mariposa County Public Works and Transportation for the donation of generators that made it possible for the fabrication team to compete.
