Continue to mobilize

Editor,

With the present president we now have the golden opportunity to flex our democratic muscles, which have atrophied a bit.

But we all start out as a developing fetus who isn’t expected to lift any weights, and therefore we get to leave everything up to our mom. And as children, it’s a free ride; our survival in the hands of our parents.

Then in human adulthood we finally contribute to the care of others. And now, as adult citizens, we need to also remember to do our part in the development, and protection of our nation, and not just hand all of the responsibility over to “the government.

Previously I have written of the differences between older-borns and younger-borns which actually isn’t very different in this situation. Us older-borns usually receive an early parenthood and so aren’t really interested in taking on additional responsibilities by also attending to the government.

While the younger-borns tend to have extended childhoods, which leads them to accept the idea that the government will take care of everything they don’t want to. And so we are both potentially being negligent in the upkeep, and protection, of our precious country.

And this has allowed someone like Trump, and his destruction, to sneak in and take whatever he wants. Older-borns, your alarms have already gone off. But are each of us permanently committed to working at staying vigilant in the future of our country?

And Younger-borns, will you learn to be more careful about choosing, and trusting, someone to have power over your lives ? And so, I believe each of us needs to work harder on securing the safety and health of our United States of America, as this is not a drill, Older-borns.

And Younger-borns, if you “wait and see,” it will be too late, and you’ll surely be startled by the results …

So, as I’m reminding all of us of the need to continue to mobilize, I am offering this letter to-the-editor as part of my contribution.

What is yours ? My continuing message: Fellow Americans, our “quality of life,” our country of rights and protections and our descendants are relying on us to secure a safe and good future for us all.
