The Yosemite Area Audubon Society has two field trips coming up.
Crane Flat and Tioga Road in Yosemite National Park.
This field trip will include short hikes and birding from select pullouts including Crane Flat Meadow, Tamarack Creek Trail, Siesta Lake and will end near Tenaya Lake.
On this field trip you will see mountain birds with their newly fledged young. Ride sharing to all destinations is available. There are two meet up points to join ride share as follows:
• Mariposa Fairgrounds, meet at 6 a.m.
• Crane Flat General Store, 8028 Big Oak Flat Road, Yosemite National Park, meet at 7:30 a.m.
This field trip will last most of the day and end at the Mariposa Fairgrounds between 3 and 4 p.m. Make sure to bring lunch, snacks, water, binoculars, wear comfortable shoes and layers.

Saturday, Aug. 15 — White Rock Road. Birding along White Rock Road will give the opportunity to see juvenile raptors and early migrants. Ride sharing is available for this field trip.
People are asked to meet at 7 a.m. at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds.
From Mariposa to White Rock Road and ending near Le Grand at noon. The group will then be traveling back to Mariposa. Make sure to bring a lunch, snacks, water and binoculars.
