Disney’s Alice in Wonderland JR. will complete its run at North Fork School on Friday and Saturday, May 1-2 in Kennedy Hall starting at 6:30 p.m.
Dinner will be available for purchase before both shows starting at 5:30 p.m.
Insiders said the zany 60-minute musical designed for middle school-aged performers is based on the 1951 Disney film and the novels by Lewis Carroll.
The company includes students from kindergarten through 8th grade company and features 45 students led by volunteer directors Lindsey Hanson, Cassidy Jones and Caitlin Netzley.
“This cast has shown dedication, determination, focus and fun,” Netzley said. “They are ready to take you on an A-D-V-E-N-T-U-R-E to Wonderland.”
Adapted especially for young performers, the musical includes favorite songs from the Disney canon such as “I’m Late,” “The Unbirthday Song,” and “Painting the Roses Red,” plus music from the 2010 Tim Burton live-action film.
North Fork School Performing Arts Program is a volunteer-lead, school-based extracurricular program. While performances have been a longstanding tradition at North Fork School, the Performing Arts Program in its current iteration was established in 2018 with financial support from the North Fork School Parent Teacher Group (PTG).

The PTG continues to be the primary source of financial support toward this program. Director Netzley came on board in 2019 with musical direction from Amy Duke. Since then, Netzley has forged ahead with support from “multiple teams of amazing volunteers,” she noted.
The current directing trio of Lindsey Hanson, Cassidy Jones, and Caitlin Netzley has been together for two productions and is already planning for next year’s show.
