Music on the Green continues its 36th season this weekend as the Mariposa County Arts Council presents another round of free, live performances at the Mariposa County Art Park in downtown Mariposa.

Dirty Cello will make their Music on the Green debut on Friday, July 3 at 7 p.m.

Dirty Cello is one of the few visiting bands on the lineup this year. Dirty Cello is a San Francisco based band that plays all over the U.S. and beyond. Don’t expect typical Cello music and be ready to rock.

The Soul Galaxy will be at the Art Park on Saturday, the Fourth of July. As is tradition, the Soul Galaxy have played the Saturday closest to the Fourth of July many years.

They are Mariposa’s number one rock and blues band, led by Tim Hagar on lead electric guitar, with Jon Kidd on drums and vocals. Music on the Green will start two hours early at 5 p.m. on July 4.

The Mariposa County Art Park is located at 5013 Highway 140 in downtown Mariposa. Parking is available along 4th and 5th streets, with accessible pedestrian access via the lower 5th Street parking lot through the Mariposa Creek Parkway entry.
