Registration is open now for The Mariposa Bears Youth Football and Cheer program.
“All teams are filled,” said Shellby Guenthart, league president.
“There was potential to not have a season this year but we definitely are. Anyone who registers will be placed on a team.”
While registration remains open, uniform fittings have been taking place.
On May 30 the group will be at the Mariposa County Park (4998 County Park Road) for their final cheer and football uniform fittings from 2-4 p.m.
The registration fee for football is $325 with a special Junior Novice (6,7 and 8 year-olds) price of $200.
The final payment for cheer is due by May 31 and the final payment for football is due by June 15.
Practice begins the week of July 7. Athletes will need to have a physical completed by July 7.
The cheer squads will be competing at cheer camp July 25-26 while the football teams will kick off the season with the annual Munchies scrimmages on Aug. 8.
The league’s first game of the season will be against the Chiefs at Ripon on Aug. 15.
