The Mariposa County Arts Council has announced the return of Music on the Green, one of Mariposa’s most beloved and enduring community traditions.

Now in its 36th year, this free summer concert series kicks off Friday, June 5, and will once again bring free live music to the Mariposa County Art Park every Friday and Saturday evening throughout the summer.

Set in the heart of historic downtown at the Art Park along the Mariposa Creek Parkway, Music on the Green offers a welcoming space for the community to gather, relax and enjoy live performances together.

Produced by Andy Roberts in partnership with the Mariposa County Arts Council, the 2026 season showcases an exciting and diverse lineup of performers spanning genres from jazz and Americana to reggae, folk, rock and beyond.

This year’s opening weekend sets the tone with Yosemite Jazz Band on Friday, June 5, followed by Clan Dyken on Saturday, June 6. Opening night will also feature a special community fundraiser in support of Music on the Green, offering additional ways to gather, connect and support the arts. Stay tuned for additional details.

Visit the Arts Council website for the full lineup and dates at mariposaartscouncil.org. Performances begin at 7 p.m. at the Mariposa County Art Park, located at 5013 Highway 140 in downtown Mariposa.

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, friends and family to enjoy these evenings under the open sky. Parking is available along 4th and 5th streets, with accessible pedestrian access via the Mariposa Creek Parkway.
