It was only a scrimmage, but things are looking good for the Mariposa County High School volleyball girls.
MCHS pasted Minarets in a scrimmage on Friday, Aug. 14, by a score of 22-25, 25-12, 25-21, 25-14.
“I really thought Kylie Williams did a great job offensively. She was making smart plays and mixing up her offense. That was nice for me to see, as she’s only a sophomore. Abby Beery really was the highlight for us though; she was all over the court defensively and her serve-receive passing was solid,” said MCHS head coach Holly Earling.
The Grizzlies are primed for a successful season as they are hoping for a third consecutive Southern League championship, as well as a deeper playoff run this season.
