The life of Chalcee Ann Reene Ford was a testament to strength — a journey defined by an unwavering spirit and a heart that belonged entirely to her family.

On March 13, 2026, at the age of 37, Chalcee passed away at Clovis Community Medical

Center following a courageous and defiant battle with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer.

Throughout her journey, she remained the “Northstar” of her family: a constant source of light, guidance and strength that never wavered, even in the darkest times.

Born on July 31, 1988, in Mariposa, Chalcee was a graduate of Mountain View High School who dedicated her life to the service of others. Driven by a deep-seated desire to care for those in need, she earned her CNA from Oakhurst Medical Center.

While she was a skilled and compassionate caregiver, she also possessed a sharp mind for leadership and logistics, serving for many years as the manager and dispatcher for Doc’s Towing and Northstar Towing and Transportation.

Chalcee found her greatest happiness in the company of those she loved. She was a woman of many creative talents — an avid baker and a gifted artist who found peace in Diamond Art and the delicate work of painting rocks.

While she cherished the beauty of the mountains and spent many weekends at the Merced Speedway cheering with pride as her father, uncles and grandpa raced, she was just as happy at home. She loved the simple comfort of relaxing with her family, watching movies and sharing a bowl of popcorn.

Despite her legendary and humorous hatred of bugs and birds — especially geese — she appreciated the stillness of nature, whether she was visiting the lake or simply enjoying the fresh air.

To those who knew her best, Chalcee was more than just a sister or a friend; she was a teacher, a protector and a hero. Selfless to a fault, she had an intuitive ability to show up for the people she loved before they even realized they needed her.

Her loyalty was unmatched and her beauty was a direct reflection of the fierce, protective love she carried for her circle. Above all else, her greatest joy and proudest achievement was her daughter, Aubree. To her “Boogie,” Chalcee was a devoted mother whose legacy of bravery and boundless love will serve as a guiding light forever.

Chalcee is now reunited in heaven with her mother, Michelle Corn; her brother, Billy Corn; and her grandparents, Raymond and Patsy Corn, and Larry Ford.

Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her beloved daughter, Aubree “Boogie” Manty; her father, Jerry (Laura) Corn; and her grandmother, Nancy Ford.

She leaves behind a devoted group of siblings: Nathan (Courtney) Corn, Britteny Ford, Ryan Wyilson, Jesse Corn and Carissa Bonds, as well as her favorite aunt, Tammy Russum and family and an enormous extended family as well as a community of close friends who were fortunate enough to be a part of her journey …
