Editor,
I vote in every election and I own my vote. This means I don’t listen to the sales pitch from various candidates, I research past actions, sponsored bills and how they vote.
Actions speak louder than words. Which brings me to speak about local Mariposa County elections.
Usually only the incumbent runs and why waste ink when there is no opposition?
However, this year two people are running for Mariposa County Assessor/Recorder. I not only value honesty and ethical behavior, but I also admire people who have the courage to speak up and ask questions when things aren’t right.
That is why I am voting for Jenifer Canter for the position of Assessor/Recorder. A vote for Jenifer Canter is not a waste of ink.
