Music on the Green continues its 36th season this weekend as the Mariposa County Arts Council presents another round of free live performances at the Mariposa County Art Park in downtown Mariposa.
Mariposa Ukulele Ensemble returns to Music on the Green on Friday, July 31.
The MUE is spearheaded by local musician Gail Dreifus, and consists of around 20 ukulele players from the local community, a drummer and upright bass player. Their repertoire is riddled with recognizable standards and classics of American music from old to new.
The Osteotones will make their Music on the Green debut on Saturday, Aug. 1. They are a cello and guitar duo from Fresno.
Playing mostly original music, they present a meld of classical, folk and acoustic music based on California themes.
Performances begin at 7 p.m. at the Mariposa County Art Park, located at 5013 Highway 140 in downtown Mariposa. Parking is available along 4th and 5th streets, with accessible pedestrian access via the lower 5th Street parking lot through the Mariposa Creek Parkway entry.
Tips for the performers are encouraged.
