Music on the Green continues its 36th season this weekend as the Mariposa County Arts Council presents another round of free live performances at the Mariposa County Art Park in downtown Mariposa.
Crooked Drone will be the featured band for Music on the Green on Friday, July 24. Crooked Drone is a classic Americana band, fusing old-time bluegrass, folk, country, blues and rock.
The trio consists of Brother JD on bass and vocals, Jon Kidd on drums and vocals and T-ranch (Andy Roberts) on banjo and vocals.
On Saturday, July 25, The Stereo Hopeful will make their Music on the Green debut. They are a five piece band hailing from Central California.
They are an alternative rock band with local Mariposan Austin Ridehour on drums and vocals.
Performances begin at 7 p.m. at the Mariposa County Art Park, located at 5013 Highway 140 in historic downtown Mariposa. Parking is available along 4th and 5th Streets, with accessible pedestrian access via the lower 5th Street parking lot through the Mariposa Creek Parkway entry.
Tips for the performers are encouraged.
