The Annual Spring Artisans’ Show at the Bootjack Stompers Hall is set for April 11-12.
Both Saturday and Sunday hours will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This show was originally requested some years ago by local artisans, crafters, bakers and food vendors to provide an affordable, vendor friendly venue to showcase their products.
The Bootjack Stompers hall event organizer, Pat Cox, is a Made In Mariposa member as well as a member of the Bootjack Stompers.
She said local vendors appreciate the “very reasonable cost of renting a generously sized vendor spot, the cheerful location and the friendly atmosphere for both vendors and shoppers.”
People can shop inside the historic hall for jewelry of many types, baked goods, stones, points, cabochons, macrame, paracord bracelets, microwaveable bowl holders, leather goods, hanging crafts, tiles and much more.
There will be a special opportunity to buy custom designed America’s 250th Anniversary T-shirts (unique for Mariposa) as well as a patriotic photo opportunity featuring a gold miner with a gold pan and a patriotic flag background
($5).
Beverlyville Indian Tacos is the featured outside food vendor this year. Beverly is famous for the best Indian tacos in the county. If you have never tried her Indian Tacos, don’t miss this opportunity. Take-out meals are available, as well.
There are a couple of vendor spots open, so contact the hall if you are interested in applying for this show or for the Holiday Artisans’ Craft Show in December.
Part of the mission of the group as a nonprofit club is to provide square, line and choreographed ballroom dancing lessons as well as an affordable venue for the community to rent.
The event location is at the Bootjack Stompers Hall at 4662 Mormon Bar Crossing in Mariposa. It is the red building across from the fairgrounds in Mariposa. There is free parking and free entrance.
People are encouraged to ask about dance workshops and how to rent the hall for an event.
