A memorial service for Shirley Jo Miller will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Mariposa Lutheran Church.
Shirley Jo passed away on Oct. 16, 2026, at the age of 96.
She spent many years as a docent at the Mariposa Museum and History Center, giving lectures, teaching new docents, guiding and educating students and showing visitors from other countries the amazing history of the California Gold Rush era.
Shirley Jo was also an avid sewer and quilter, winning many award at the Mariposa County Fair.
