Music on the Green continues its 36th season this weekend as the Mariposa County Arts Council presents another round of free live performances at the Mariposa County Art Park in downtown Mariposa.
The T-ranch Stringband will take the Art Park stage on Friday, July 17. The T-ranch Stringband is an old-time, single mic stringband lead by singer songwriter/banjo player, Andy Roberts.
The band features Jared Jesperson (the Jespersons) on mandolin, Benny Lee Friedrich (The Trespassers) on upright bass and Ben Goger (the Trespassers) on guitar. This will be a fun evening of original and traditional songs.
On Saturday, July 18, Mike Hammar and the Professor acoustic duo will return to Music on the Green. These guys will play some original and contemporary blues with acoustic guitar, harmonica and vocal harmonies.
The duo is very active in the California blues community and beyond.
Performances begin at 7 p.m. at the Mariposa County Art Park, located at 5013 Highway 140 in downtown Mariposa. Parking is available along 4th and 5th Streets, with accessible pedestrian access via the lower 5th Street parking lot through the Mariposa Creek Parkway entry.
Tips for the performers are encouraged.
