Oakhurst man arrested for child sexual abuse materials

A local man was arrested for possession of child sexual abuse material.

Detectives identified Jeremy Michael Flud, 34, as the suspect in the case. Flud was taken into custody on July 8.

The investigation began when detectives received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding the suspected possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) occurring in Oakhurst.

Madera County Sheriff’s detectives, working in coordination with the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), executed a search warrant on July 8 at a residence in the area of Meadow Lane and Pine Ridge Road in Oakhurst.

During a search of the residence, investigators located electronic devices belonging to Flud which contained child sexual abuse material.

He was booked at the Madera County Jail. All electronic devices associated with Flud were seized for further examination as part of the ongoing investigation.
