JAIL BOOKING REPORT
Here are some of the highlights from the recent booking reports at the Mariposa County Jail. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Aug. 31 – Amanda Afton Bassett, 39, Mariposa, was arrested for hit and run with property damage. • Michelle Lynn Lewis, 58, Mariposa, was arrested for elderly adult cruelty and two counts of DUI.
Sept. 1 – Lynette Louise Macdonald, 57, Conner, was arrested for grand theft. • Victor Aguilar Farias, 35, Beaverton, Ore., was arrested for selling/transporting marijuana, conspiracy to commit a crime, cultivating more than six marijuana plants and possession of marijuana for sale. • Esmeralda Pimentel, 36, Ceres, was arrested for selling/transporting marijuana, conspiracy to commit a crime, cultivating more than six marijuana plants and possession of marijuana for sale.
Sept. 2 – No bookings.
Sept. 3 – No bookings.
Sept. 4 – Rebecca Ann Eubanks, 23, Mariposa, was arrested for unpermitted camping on public property. • Gumesindo Beltran Figueroa, 26, Ceres, was arrested of cultivating more than six plants of marijuana.
Sept. 5 – Richard Hanna, 59, Mariposa, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of unlawful paraphernalia.
Sept. 6 – Tracie Oestrich, 54, Mariposa, was arrested for causing in injury to an elderly dependent. • Amanda Marie Donaldson, 38, Mariposa, was arrested for child abuse. • Jennifer Wiseman, 46, Mariposa, was arrested of corporal injury to a spouse and child abuse. • Nathan Alexander Straus, 45, Mariposa, was arrested for disorderly conduct: alcohol.
SHERIFF’S REPORT
Aug. 31 – There was a suspicious vehicle on East Westfall Road in Mariposa. • Harassment was reported on Sullivan Road in Mariposa. • A suspicious vehicle was reported on Smith Station Road in Greeley Hill. • There was a runaway reported on Main Street in Coulterville. • A runaway was reported on Pine Street in Coulterville.
Sept. 1 – The coroner was called to Hospital Road in Mariposa. • A suspicious person was reported on Lupine Lane in Bootjack.
Sept. 2 – Grant theft was investigated on Banderilla Drive in Don Pedro. • Child abuse was reported on Indian Peak Road in Mariposa. • Vandalism was investigated on Triangle Road in Mariposa.
Sept. 3 – Report unavailable.
Sept. 4 – There was a suspicious vehicle on Triangle Road in Midpines. • Threats were reported on Ashworth Road in Bootjack. • There was a suspicious vehicle on St. Andrews Road in Mariposa. • A suspicious vehicle was reported on Highway 49 North and CYA Road in Mt. Bullion.
Sept. 5 – Threats were investigated on Banderilla Drive in Don Pedro. • An assault and battery was reported on Windy Hollow Road in Woodland. • There was a suspicious vehicle on CYA Road in Mt. Bullion. • And assault and battery was reported at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds in Mariposa.
Sept. 6 – An abandoned vehicle was reported on Barrett Cove Road in Don Pedro. • Mail theft was reported on Ben Hur Road in Mariposa. • There was a domestic disturbance on 13th Street in Mariposa. • A burglary was reported on White Rock Road in Mariposa.
The above listed calls are actual reports to the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office dispatch. These are just a sampling of recent calls, but are in no way all inclusive. The intent of this log is to demonstrate the wide array of issues with which Mariposa County law enforcement must deal with, in addition to investigation of serious crimes and their routine patrol.
