JAIL BOOKING REPORT

Here are some of the highlights from the recent booking reports at the Mariposa County Jail. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

June 15 – Arvind Srinivasan, 28, Austin, Texas, was arrested for open container in a motor vehicle, operating a vehicle while under the influence and refusing a DUI test in Yosemite National Park. • Horrace Lee Briggs Jr., 36, Mariposa, was arrested for battery of a spouse, violating a domestic violence court order and a probation violation. • Kimberly Renay Robles, 38, Mariposa, was arrested for driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level of 0.08 percent or higher. • Tyler Creegan Harris, 46, Mariposa, was arrested for disorderly conduct involving drugs/alcohol.

June 16 – Ronald Wayne Barham, 57, Coulterville, was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, illegal possession of an assault weapon, possession or sale of large-capacity gun magazines, possession of unlawful paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, elder/ dependent adult cruelty and driving under a suspended license. • Mark Anthony Young, 30, North Ridge, was arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence in Yosemite National Park.

June 17 – Christopher Micheal Mccurdy, 38, Mariposa, was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance and a parole violation. • Paul Jeffrey Moore, 69, hometown not given, was arrested for flash incarceration. • Robert Charles Owen, 61, Mariposa, was arrested for disorderly conduct involving alcohol. • Kayla May Kimbro, 36, Mariposa, was arrested for possession of unlawful paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.

June 18 – Javier Augusto Michel III, 21, Madera, was arrested for open container in a motor vehicle, operating a vehicle while under the influence and driving without a license in Yosemite National Park.

June 19 – No bookings to report.

June 20 – Robert Charles Owen, 61, Mariposa, was arrested for disorderly conduct involving alcohol. • Linda Yvonne Evans, 76, Mariposa, was arrested for disorderly conduct involving alcohol. • Wyatt Zane Hinton, 18, Mariposa, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.

June 21 – Arturo Isidro Garza, 31, Mariposa, was arrested for possession of unlawful paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and disorderly conduct while under the influence of drugs. • Jason Ray Vargas, 34, Oakdale, was arrested for disorderly conduct involving alcohol.

SHERIFF’S REPORT

June 15 – A burglar alarm was reported on Highway 49 South in Mariposa. • Suspicious circumstances occurred near the Ferguson slide area in the Merced River Canyon. • A prowler was reported on Coakley Circle in Mariposa. • Extra patrol was requested on Barrett Cove Road in Don Pedro. • Somone was driving while under the influence at Highway 140 and Highway 49 in Mariposa.

June 16 – A traffic hazard was reported at Highway 140 and Highway 49 in Mariposa. • An animal was reported on Paraiso Boulevard in Don Pedro. • Trespassing occurred on Stroming Road in Mariposa. • A welfare check was requested on Dogtown Road in Greeley Hill.

June 17 – An ambulance was requested on Bullion Street in Mariposa. • A 911 hangup occurred on Bone Yard Creek Road in Coulterville. • Reckless driving was reported on Highway 140 in Mariposa. • Fraud occurred on St. Andrews Road in Mariposa.

June 18 – A house check occurred on Carstens Road in Midpines. • An ambulance was requested on Mueller Road in Mariposa. • An animal was reported on Timbell Road in Mariposa. • A burglar alarm was reported on Highway 140 in Mariposa. • Suspicious circumstances occurred on 10th Street in Mariposa.

June 19 – A subject check occurred on Jessie Street in Mariposa. • Extra patrol was requested on Spriggs Lane in Mariposa. • An ambulance was needed on Snyder Ridge Road in Jerseydale. • Someone was disturbing the peace on Jessie Street in Mariposa. • A business check was requested on Main Street in Coulterville.

June 20 – A domestic disturbance occurred on Barrett Cove Road in Don Pedro. • A burglary was reported on Schooner Drive in El Portal. • A suspicious person was reported at Yaqui Gulch Road and Old Highway in Mariposa. • Threats were made on Donkey Lane in Greeley Hill.

June 21 – A 911 misdial occurred on Barrett Cove in Don Pedro. • Assault/battery occurred on Highway 140 in Mariposa. • Petty theft was reported on Chowchilla Mountain Road in Ponderosa Basin. • Illegal dumping occurred on Highway 140 in Mariposa.

The above listed calls are actual reports to the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office dispatch. These are just a sampling of recent calls, but are in no way all inclusive. The intent of this log is to demonstrate the wide array of issues with which Mariposa County law enforcement must deal with, in addition to investigation of serious crimes and their routine patrol.
