JAIL BOOKING REPORT

Here are some of the highlights from the recent booking reports at the Mariposa County Jail. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

April 20 – No bookings to report.

April 21 – Jill Marie Desanto, 53, Las Vegas, Nev., was arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence in Yosemite National Park. • Kassandra M. Robbins, 32, Oakhurst, was arrested for child abuse and driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level of 0.08 or higher.

April 22 – No bookings to report.

April 23 – Leia Nicole Bleim, 28, Clarkston, Mich., was arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence with a blood alcohol level of 0.08 or higher in Yosemite National Park.

April 24 – Shaun Richard Mason Sr., 64, Terlingua, Texas, was arrested for being under the influence of alcohol/controlled substance in Yosemite National Park.

April 25 – Keirsten Leann Higgs, 20, Oroville, was arrested for driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level of 0.08 or higher. • Paul Allen Polasky, 47, Mariposa, was arrested for threatening crime with intent to terrorize. • Quinten Seth Fender, 27, Mariposa, was arrested for witness intimidation/ tampering, corporal injury to a spouse, vandalism and damaging a wireless communication device.

April 26 – No bookings to report.

SHERIFF’S REPORT

April 20 – A scam was reported on 10th Street in Mariposa. • An ambulance was requested on Espuela Court in Don Pedro. • Suspicious circumstances occurred on St. Andrews Road in Mariposa. • Harassment was reported on St. Andrews Road in Mariposa. • Unsafe shooting occurred on Fiske Road in Greeley Hill.

April 21 – Reckless driving was reported on Highway 49 South and Ashworth Road in Bootjack. • Mail theft occurred on Highway 140 in Catheys Valley. • Violation of a court order was reported on 10th Street in Mariposa. • Identity theft occurred on Main Street in Coulterville. • Child abuse was reported on Colorado Road in Midpines.

April 22 – Harassment was reported on Ernst Road in Greeley Hill. • An animal was reported on Fairgrounds Road in Mariposa. • Violation of a domestic violence order occurred on Jones Street in Mariposa. • Someone was driving while under the influence on St. Andrews Road in Mariposa. • Someone was a danger to self or others on Indian Peak Road in Bootjack.

April 23 – An ambulance was requested on Sherrod Road in Bootjack. • A house check was requested on Carstens Road in Midpines. • Fraud was reported on 10th Street in Mariposa. • Vandalism occurred on Joe Howard Street in Mariposa. • A burglar alarm was reported on Highway 49 South in Mariposa.

April 24 – An animal was reported on School House Road in Catheys Valley. • A house check was requested on Varain Road in Mariposa. • An ambulance was requested on East Whitlock Road in Midpines. • Petty theft occurred on St. Andrews Road in Mariposa. • A vehicle check occurred on Joe Howard Street in Mariposa.

April 25 – Assault/battery occurred on Highway 49 North in Mariposa. • Harassment was reported on Watt Road in Ponderosa Basin. • Someone was disturbing the peace on Lakeside Road in Midpines. • A domestic disturbance was reported on Sherlock Road in Midpines. • An ambulance was requested on Indian Rock Lane in Bootjack.

April 26 – An animal was reported on Parmabelle Road in Ponderosa Basin. • A juvenile was refusing to obey on Cuneo Road in Greeley Hill. • Threats were made on Greeley Hill Road in Greeley Hill. • A suspicious person was reported on Oliver Creek Road in Ponderosa Basin.

The above listed calls are actual reports to the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office dispatch. These are just a sampling of recent calls, but are in no way all inclusive. The intent of this log is to demonstrate the wide array of issues with which Mariposa County law enforcement must deal with, in addition to investigation of serious crimes and their routine patrol.
