Veterans Stand Down

Local nonprofit Caring Veterans of America is planning a Veterans Stand Down on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at The Grove Church (42461 Highway 49) in Ahwahnee. Organizers promise veterans free lunch and drinks, personal care items, haircuts and gear. Veterans must have VA/Military identification or a DD214 form on hand. No-Bull Equipment Rodeo

Heavy equipment operators will compete in precision challenges for charity at the No-Bull equipment rodeo from 10:30 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12 at the Coarsegold Rodeo Grounds. Food, vendors, live music and all the excitement you’d expect at a rodeo all done with backhoes, excavators and skid loaders. Oakhurst Sunrise Rotary invites the community to its annual fundraiser, Sunrise on the Mountain Clay Shoot on Saturday, Sept. 26 starting with check-in at 8 a.m. at Sun Mountain Gun Club (32868 Shotgun Lane) in Coarsegold. The Griz gravel and century bike adventure
