A Madera County man was taken into custody on charges related to child sex abuse material.
The Madera County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding suspected possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) occurring in Madera County.
Detectives identified Madera resident William Mark Gann, 77, as a suspect in this case.
On Wednesday, April 22, MCSO detectives in partnership with the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and Special Agents from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) executed a residential search warrant at a home located near the intersection of Walden Drive and Berkeley Drive in Madera.
Gann was contacted and arrested for possessing CSAM. Gann at press time was in custody at the Madera County Jail. All electronic devices associated with Gann were seized for further examination as part of the ongoing investigation.
