The Mariposa Lions Club has announced its support of the new dog park, irrigation system, landscape screening project and pollinator garden planned for the Idle Wheels Senior Park in Mariposa.
The club is inviting fellow community service organizations to join in making this project a reality.
To launch the effort, the Mariposa Lions Club has donated $2,000 toward the dog park’s construction and an additional $200 toward the irrigation system’s installation.
The club now challenges other local service organizations, businesses and community groups to match or contribute toward this worthwhile Idle Wheels community enhancement.
The project has also received an encouraging response from local residents, with $1,250 already donated by private community members. This early support demonstrates the community’s enthusiasm for creating a safe, welcoming space where dogs can exercise and socialize while their owners gather and connect.
The Dog Park will provide a valuable recreational amenity for Idle Wheels residents. Every contribution, large or small, will help move the project closer to completion.
The Mariposa Lions Club encourages other service clubs to accept this challenge and invest in a project that will benefit the Idle Wheels community for years to come.
“Together, through collaboration and community spirit, we can create a lasting legacy for Idle Wheels Seniors, and pet owners,” said a club spokesperson.
