Fireside Chats are back.

The Mariposa Museum and History Center will once again be doing the chats featuring various speakers.

The first chat will be on Saturday, Aug. 8 at 1:30 p.m. at the museum.

First up will be Tony Krizan, who bills himself as an adventurer, author and photographer. Krizan also writes outdoors columns twice a month for the Mariposa Gazette.

He will share his 30-plus years of experience of hiking in the Sierra Nevada — and beyond.

The programs are free to attend.

Museum officials said they are looking for people interested in sharing their stories and knowledge with the public. Topics can be varied.

To learn more, contact the museum at (209) 966-2924 or email info@mariposamuseum.com.

People can also stop by the museum at 5119 Jessie Street in Mariposa.
