Mariposa County residents are invited to a town hall on Saturday, April 18, at 2 p.m. in the Mariposa Board of Supervisors meeting room.

The event will bring together county leadership and the John C. Fremont Healthcare District for “a conversation focused on collaboration, transparency and progress,” according to a press release from the hospital district.

JCF Chief Executive Officer Stacey Kuzak, County Administrative Officer Joe Lynch and District 4 Supervisor Jenni Kiser will lead the discussion.

The press release said they would be “sharing updates and insights on how coordinated efforts between the county and the healthcare district are strengthening services and supporting a more resilient Mariposa County.

Kuzak will provide an overview of hospital initiatives, including updates on the new hospital build, Measure O funding, financial outlook and efforts to ensure long-term sustainability. Additional topics will include improvements to access to care, communication, current services, workforce development partnerships and recent achievements.

Lynch will outline the county’s role in supporting community health through its partnership with the healthcare district, with examples of shared resources, coordinated services and workforce initiatives that enhance service delivery and community outcomes.

To cap off the event, Kiser will facilitate a question-and-answer session, offering residents the opportunity to engage directly with leadership, ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of both challenges and progress.

This town hall reflects an ongoing commitment to open communication and collaboration, advancing solutions that support longterm stability and improved services,” the press release stated. These efforts support a thriving community where agencies work together, residents feel heard and supported and access to quality healthcare close to home continues to expand.
