Editor,
The four person crew of the Orion sent on the Artemis II mission to orbit the Mon (and beyond) selected the name “Integrity” for their spacecraft.
The name was given to reflect “the foundation of trust, respect, candor and humility across the crew and many engineers, technicians, scientists, planners and dreamers required for mission success.”
The fact that the crew was made up of three Americans and one Canadian, three men and one woman, three white people and one black person, makes the choice of name even more meaningful.
Maybe their spectacular success will cause a shift toward those values they embraced throughout their mission and onto the rest of mankind.
After all, we all have only one planet to call home.
