Group gives quilts to local veterans

Area veterans continued to be honored by a local group.

The Mariposa Piece Makers, a quilting group, regularly presents handmade quilts to local veterans.

The veterans are generally honored during a breakfast meeting at the Mariposa Senior Center. A breakfast for veterans is held monthly at the senior center.

The Mariposa Piece Makers have been making quilts for years and is a project of the Mariposa Community Foundation.

Anyone interested in the group is encouraged to inquire. Previous quilting experience is not necessary.

The group meetings monthly at the Mariposa Lutheran Church.
