A Coulterville man is in jail following a two month investigation by a Tuolumne County task force.
Michael Leslie Proctor, 64, was arrested on April 9 in the La Grange area following the investigation.
In February, Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a traffic stop in the Groveland area which led to the seizure of black tar heroin and a referral to the Tuolumne Narcotics Team, or TNT.
After the investigation, TNT identified the supplier as Proctor, who they reported was transporting heroin from the Central Valley for sale in the Groveland area. TNT obtained a search warrant for Proctor, his vehicle and residence.
During the traffic stop near La Grange, officers with TNT located 137.5 grams of heroin and $2,909 in cash. A subsequent search of his residence led to the seizure of additional narcotics, methamphetamine, ammunition and drug-related items.
Proctor was arrested on multiple felony charges, including transportation and possession of heroin for sale, felony in possession of ammunition and possession of methamphetamine.
Official police reports indicate Proctor is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing ammunition.
A passenger in the vehicle, Jaymee Troi McFarland, 58, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
