This summer, Mariposa Soccer is inviting the entire community to celebrate a Summer of Soccer through a series of family friendly events inspired by the 2026 World Cup.
The centerpiece of the initiative is the “Match Bracket & Mariposa Soccer Passport,” a tri-fold brochure that combines a free World Cup bracket and schedule with a community passport activity.
People can track matches from June 11 through July 19 while collecting stickers by participating in local Mariposa Soccer events throughout the summer.
The brochure encourages people of all ages to explore countries, flags and cultures from around the world while taking part in activities that bring our community together.
The free bracket and passport trifold brochure will be available at the Visitor Center, library and many event host locations throughout the summer starting June 1.
World Cup in Mariposa includes:
• World Cup watch parties
• June 23, 5-7 p.m.: Design Your Own Soccer Ball at the Mariposa County Library
• July 4: America 250 celebration and the July 4 parade (wear your USA jerseys.)
• July 12: A community mural funded in part by the Mariposa Arts Council and Mariposa County
• The Woodland Cup adult 5v5 tournament, which raises funds for Mariposa County High School varsity soccer teams
The program is designed to connect geography, culture, art, and sports while highlighting the power of soccer to unite people across nations and generations.
