JAIL BOOKING REPORT

Here are some of the highlights from the recent booking reports at the Mariposa County Jail. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

May 18 – Iris Aracely Reyes, 38, Mariposa, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with two or more priors, a prohibited person in possession of ammunition, possession of unlawful paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and driving under a suspended license.

May 19 – Jesse Paz, 38, Mariposa, was arrested for violation of parole.

May 20 – No bookings to report.

May 21 – Tod Mitchell Yandell, 64, Mariposa, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

May 22 – Lauren Michelle Morris, 37, Coulterville, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and driving under a suspended license.

May 23 – Erica Marie Hilburn, 40, Mariposa, was arrested for obstructing a public officer and disorderly conduct involving alcohol. • Chelsea Overstreet, 37, Oneals, was arrested for public intoxication.

May 24 – Chelsea Overstreet, 37, Oneals, was arrested for public intoxication • Katherine Leslie Page, 52, Mariposa, was arrested for unpermitted camping on public property, possession of a controlled substance, obstructing a public officer and unlawful lodging

SHERIFF’S REPORT

May 18 – A scam was reported on 13th Street in Mariposa. • Reckless driving occurred on Highway 49 and Highway 140 in Mariposa. • A health and safety violation was reported on Trabucco Street in Mariposa. • Vandalism occurred on Broadway in Coulterville. • Threats were made on Guadalupe Creek Road in Mariposa.

May 19 – An ambulance was requested on Highway 140 in Catheys Valley. • Child abuse was reported on Jones Street in Mariposa. • A welfare check was requested on Chicharra Way in Don Pedro. • Petty theft occurred on Highway 140 in Catheys Valley. • Someone was drunk in public on Coakley Circle in Mariposa.

May 20 – A traffic collision occurred on Bull Creek Road in Midpines. • Unsafe shooting was reported on Colorado Road in Midpines. • An ambulance was requested on Holtzel Road in Greeley Hill. • A suspicious person was reported on Old Highway N. in Mariposa. • A suspicious vehicle was reported on Highway 49 N. in Mariposa.

May 21 – A traffic collision was reported on Highway 140 in Mariposa. • An ambulance was requested on Hidalgo Street in Don Pedro. • A welfare check occurred on Jones Street in Mariposa. • An animal was reported on Banderilla Drive in Don Pedro.

May 22 – Suspicious circumstances were reported on Old Mill Road in Mariposa. • Extra patrol was requested at the Bagby Recreation

Area in Bear Valley. • Brandishing occurred on Pine Top Drive in Mariposa. • A violation of a court order occurred on E. Whitlock Road in Midpines.

May 23 – Vandalism occurred on Morrissey Road in Mt. Bullion. • Trespassing was reported on Gunther Road in Mariposa. • Smoke was seen on Silva Road in Bootjack. • A traffic stop occurred on Highway 140 in Mariposa.

May 24 – A 911 hangup occurred on Highway 49 N. in Mariposa. • Smoke was seen on Heavenly Crest Road in Bootjack. • A welfare check occurred on Gavilan Road in Mariposa. • Harassment was reported on Ernst Road in Greeley Hill. • A fire occurred on Boyer Road in Woodland.

The above listed calls are actual reports to the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office dispatch. These are just a sampling of recent calls, but are in no way all inclusive. The intent of this log is to demonstrate the wide array of issues with which Mariposa County law enforcement must deal with, in addition to investigation of serious crimes and their routine patrol.
