JAIL BOOKING REPORT
Here are some of the highlights from the recent booking reports at the Mariposa County Jail. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
April 13 – Ian Andrew Robinson, 29, Oakhurst, was arrested for disorderly conduct involving alcohol. • Edward Jordan Mendoza, 18, Oakhurst, was arrested for vandalism, providing false identification and taking a vehicle without owner’s consent. • Jeffrey Keith Jones, 56, Mariposa, was arrested for parole violation and obstructing a public officer. • Ernesto Gonzalez-Velazco, 36, Catheys Valley, was arrested for disorderly conduct involving alcohol. • Michael David Saucedo, 39, Mariposa, was arrested for violation of a domestic violence court order.
April 14 – Ernesto Gonzalez-Velazco, 36, Catheys Valley, was arrested for public nuisance and disorderly conduct involving alcohol. • John Eric Dela Cruz, 32, Stockton, was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance.
April 15 – Horace Lee Briggs Jr., 36, Mariposa, was arrested for corporal injury to a spouse.
April 16 – Savannah Katherine Lambert, 35, Midpines, was arrested for corporal injury to a spouse and smuggling a controlled substance into jail.
April 17 – William Gary Suggs, 62, Mariposa, was arrested for theft and receiving known stolen property. • Dana Lee Hahlbeck, 40, Mariposa, was arrested for grand theft and receiving known stolen property. • David Santiago Garcia, 36, Mariposa, was arrested for failure to register as a sex offender.
April 18 – Deanna Marie Briggs, 35, Mariposa, was arrested for battery of a spouse. • Thomas Everett Knight, 39, Greeley Hill, was arrested for possession of unlawful paraphernalia. • Justin Kyle Bess, 36, Mariposa, was arrested for driving under a suspended license. • Randall Keith Blick, 47, Coulterville, was arrested for transporting a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with two or more priors and possession of unlawful paraphernalia. • Braun Travis Gartin, 47, Coulterville, was arrested for being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition and possession of unlawful paraphernalia.
April 19 – Anthony Nicholas Perez, 46, Modesto, was arrested for parole violation and disorderly conduct while under the influence.
SHERIFF’S REPORT
April 13 – Smoke was seen on Highway 140 in Mt. Bullion. • Suspicious circumstances were reported on Bootjack Lane in Bootjack. • Someone was drunk in public on Bullion Street. • Repossession occurred on Clouds Rest in Lushmeadows. • A fire was reported on Boyer Road in Woodland.
April 14 – Harassment was reported on Double Eagle Road in Mariposa. • An animal was reported on Indian Rock Lane in Bootjack. • A domestic disturbance occurred on Greeley Hill Road in Greeley Hill. • A suspicious person was reported on Highway 49 North in Mariposa. • A burglar alarm was reported on Chowchilla Mountain Road in Ponderosa Basin.
April 15 – Stalking occurred on 10th Street in Mariposa. • Road rage was reported on Indian Peak Road in Bootjack. • Trespassing occurred on Joe Howard Street in Mariposa. • Petty theft was reported on Smith Road in Mariposa. • Reckless driving occurred on Mirasol Way in Don Pedro.
April 16 – A welfare check was requested on Falcon Lane in Bootjack. • Forgery occurred on Lehamite Fall in Lushmeadows. • Brandishing occurred on Greeley Hill Road in Greeley Hill. • Someone violated a court order on Jones Street in Mariposa.
April 17 – Someone was driving while under the influence on Highway 140 in Mariposa. • A suspicious person was reported on Fournier Road in Mariposa. • Trespassing occurred on Adelfa Street in Don Pedro. • A fire was reported on Jessie Street in Mariposa. • A traffic hazard occurred on Highway 49 South in Bootjack.
April 18 – Extra patrol was requested on Stroming Road in Mariposa. • A house check was requested on Red Cloud Mine Road in Greeley Hill. • A fire was reported on Schaffer Road in Mariposa. • A domestic disturbance occurred on Fournier Road in Mariposa.
April 19 – An ambulance was requested on Darrah Road in Bootjack. • A fire was reported on W. Illilouette Fall in Lushmeadows. • A burglar alarm was reported on Chowchilla Mountain Road in Ponderosa Basin. • A 911 hangup occurred on Highway 140 in Mariposa.
The above listed calls are actual reports to the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office dispatch. These are just a sampling of recent calls, but are in no way all inclusive. The intent of this log is to demonstrate the wide array of issues with which Mariposa County law enforcement must deal with, in addition to investigation of serious crimes and their routine patrol.
