Mariposa County Unified School District recently announced the appointment of Tracy Lingenfelter as the new principal of Woodland Elementary School.

Lingenfelter brings more than 20 years of experience in education, the vast majority of which has been dedicated to serving the students, staff and families of Mariposa County Unified School District.

Throughout her career, she has served as a teacher, instructional coach and Coordinator of Educational Services, earning the respect of colleagues through her collaborative leadership, unwavering commitment to students and ability to build strong relationships wherever she serves.

Throughout the interview process, Lingenfelter stood out not only for her depth of experience and thoughtful leadership, but also for her genuine care for children and her clear vision for Woodland’s future.

Her connection to Woodland Elementary makes this appointment especially meaningful.

As both a former student and former teacher at Woodland, she understands the unique culture, traditions and values that make the school such a special place.

Her commitment to the Woodland community is deeply personal and she is excited to return in this new leadership role.

As principal, Lingenfelter will partner with students, staff, families and the broader community to build upon Woodland’s many strengths while continuing to foster a school culture where every child is known, supported and encouraged to succeed.

MCUSD is confident that her leadership, integrity and passion for public education will serve the Woodland community exceptionally well.
