To honor Memorial Day this year, community member Nancy Cordero will be speaking about the significance of Memorial Day at the Mariposa Library.
This special event will take place Thursday, May 21 from 5-7 p.m. at the library. Following the presentation, patrons and library staff will create a memorial bouquet of biodegradable seed bombs.
Participants will be encouraged to place these flower bouquets at service member’s graves to eventually dissolve in the rain and grow flowers.
“We appreciate Nancy for giving of her time to help honor this significant holiday and its purpose,” said Mariposa County Librarian Matt Johnson. “We also thank our staff member Maggie Schuler for leading this program.”
This event is free but registration is required. The library is located at 4978 10th Street.
