With his long blond locks and hirsute chiseled chest, Dewan Ranger doesn’t look like your typical Yosemite National Park Ranger, but on social media he may be the most popular.
Imagine Thor, God of Thunder, in a ranger uniform and you get the picture.
He has nearly 5,000 fans on Facebook, where he posts humorous videos, including some with homoerotic images rife with sexual innuendo.
He even has an OnlyFans account, where he promises spicier content.
But Dewan Ranger is not, in fact, a Yosemite National Park ranger.
The images and videos appear to be generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence.
Not everyone is in on the joke.
Yosemite National Park and the National Park Service are not particularly pleased that their image and likeness are being appropriated, regardless of the content.
“The National Park Service will not tolerate the unauthorized use of the National Park Ranger uniform or brand, or any attempt to falsely represent an account as a National Park Ranger,” said a Yosemite National Park spokesperson in a statement.
“These accounts are not affiliated with the National Park Service and should not be considered credible sources of information.
We are reviewing this matter and will take appropriate action,” the statement said.
The Mariposa Gazette reached out to Dewan Ranger through his Facebook account but did not receive a reply.
The man whose likeness is used also goes by the moniker Jacked Jesus. On Instagram, Jacked Jesus has 14,000 followers.
The Jacked Jesus profile on Instagram has a link to the same OnlyFans account as Dewan Ranger.
