Editor,
Candidate for Mariposa County Supervisor District 1, Lisa Edelheit, will serve her constituents with integrity if elected. She recently retired from California Teachers Association, through which she guided and supported our local Bass Lake Teacher Association (BLTA.)
Lisa made herself readily available to us teachers at all times. She promptly replied to our emails and was reachable by phone. She was present at our meetings.
She was a tremendous support to us as we desired to do what is best for students while adhering to California Education Code. She was a most knowledgeable and informed resource.
During negotiations with our district administration, she wisely and professionally ensured that teachers were treated fairly and that our best interests were at the forefront of the conversations. Her expertise protected teachers and improved our working conditions.
What most impressed me over the years about Lisa’s performance was her ability to care about and represent all of us teachers, regardless of our personal political views. Politics never came up.
Her dedication to supporting and uplifting us teachers was her highest priority. She made it clear that she valued us and our noble profession.
If elected, Lisa will represent her constituents in Mariposa County with the same diligence and resourcefulness that she applied while serving us Bass Lake School District Teachers. We are most grateful to her for her years of faithful service.
