County needs Lisa Edelheit

Editor,

I strongly support Lisa Edelheit for the Mariposa County Board of Supervisor.

I have had the pleasure of working with Lisa for over a decade through her work with the California Teachers Association. As the president of the Yosemite Unified Teachers Association, I was able to witness firsthand her dedication to the students and schools.

Time and time again, I have seen her skills as a leader advocating for those that are often overlooked. Lisa listens to differing viewpoints, is able to balance competing interests and find a resolution that is based upon the facts instead of feelings.

Working collaboratively, I have seen her navigate tight budgets questions, explore best practices, and find a path that results in a win for all parties.

I have no doubt that Lisa Edelheit will bring these skills, talents, dedication and drive to the citizens and guests of Mariposa County. Simply put, decisions that are made in Washington D.C. and Sacramento require an educated advocate for rural communities.

Communities that need to be strategic and focused leveraging our public and private lands to increase services for all. In a divided political climate, where government shut downs have a profound impact, Mariposa needs Lisa Edelheit as one of their supervisors.
