The Red Hat Ladies will be bringing a splash of purple, red, and laughter to downtown Mariposa on Wednesday, June 3, as approximately 10–12 members gather for a cheerful luncheon at Little Shop of Ramen. The outing is part of the group’s ongoing tradition of friendship, fun and supporting local businesses while enjoying the charm of our mountain community. Known internationally for encouraging joy, connection and spirited living among women “of a certain age,” the Red Hat Society has become a familiar and colorful presence in towns across America. In Mariposa, the gatherings offer not only companionship and laughter, but also a reminder of the importance of community in small-town life. Shown, from left, are members Sonja Westfall, Anita Rose, Gerry Cross, Carol Sprague, Jackie Burns, Gina Camin and Judi Law.
