The 3rd Annual Yosemite Fantasy Film Festival is set to return on June 6, 2026, hosted during the Yosemite Chivalry & Fantasy Festival at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds — and organizers are inviting members of the community and industry professionals to join the judging panel for this growing international showcase.

Hosted on FilmFreeway, the world’s leading film festival submission platform, the Yosemite Fantasy Film Festival is already receiving entries from filmmakers around the globe.

Fantasy, adventure, sci-fi, animation and imaginative storytelling continue to define the festival’s unique niche, and its audience of festival-goers — ranging from renaissance and fantasy enthusiasts to families and travelers — offers filmmakers a dedicated and enthusiastic viewership rarely found in traditional screening environments.

Festival organizers are currently seeking qualified judges who have a passion for cinema, storytelling or the creative arts. Judges will be asked to view and score selected short films based on creativity, originality, cinematography and overall impact.

Local filmmakers, media teachers, authors, artists, industry professionals, or fantasy genre experts are all encouraged to apply.

In addition to judges, the festival is seeking support with screens and projectors to enhance the viewing experience. Thanks to the generosity of Yosemite Event Rentals, the festival will already feature professional draping, seating, popcorn machines, and thematic décor — creating a whimsical and immersive atmosphere for attendees.

Now entering its third year, the Yosemite Fantasy Film Festival continues to demonstrate steady growth, building a reputation as a creative platform where imagination thrives and emerging filmmakers can be discovered by a niche and faithful audience.

Those interested in serving as judges or supporting the festival with projection equipment are encouraged to contact Kimberly Vaughan, Executive Producer, at (209) 201-4137 or Kimberly@ChivalryAndFantasyFestival.com.
