Sierra Foothill Charter School has announced its upcoming school-wide Turkey Trot fundraiser, a spirited school community event to raise funds for field trip needs.

On Nov. 15, SFCS students will lace up their running shoes to participate in a fun run, collecting pledges for each lap they complete.

All proceeds will directly benefit SFCS’s field trip fund.

SFCS takes students on multiple field trips each year and each classroom goes to different places throughout the year, such as to Yosemite National Park with NatureBridge, Fresno Chaffee Zoo, Mariposa History Museum, California State Mining and Mineral Museum, Hunter Farm Pumpkin Patch, Raw Roots Farm, UC Merced and Vernal Pools, Fresno Art Museum and other unique hands-on experiences for students that all supplement classroom learning.

We are thrilled to invite the community to support our students as they run for a cause,” said Sean Jacobs, Principal of Sierra Foothill Charter School.

Our Turkey Trot offers a fun, energetic way for students to make a difference in their own education while also promoting fitness.

SFCS is actively seeking sponsors and donations from local businesses and individuals. Sponsors will receive recognition on event materials and social media posts associated with the event.

Community members can support students by pledging a donation per lap or by making a flat contribution.
