Tickets on sale for The Trials of Robin Hood

Tickets are on sale now for “The Trials of Robin Hood,” a comedy by Will Averill.

The production is being performed by the drama students at Mariposa County High School under the direction of Kate Hall.

There will be three showings — Nov. 7 and Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. followed by a matinee at 2 p.m. on Nov. 9.

These kids are very dedicated and it’s been amazing,” said Hall.

The Trials of Robin Hood” has a unique twist of the familiar story where King Richard is trying to figure out what happened while he was away and he must decide if Robin Hood is a hero, a criminal or a fool.

The story is told from multiple perspectives, and the audience gets to decide which of the three different endings is the true.

The cast includes: Robin Hood – Connor Finley, Maid Marian – Mia Winsor, King Richard – Jasmine Martinez, Prince John – Henry Lower, Sheriff of Nottingham – Jane Adcock, Friar Tuck – Grace Welch, Janice – Sylvester Maccarone, Herald – Scarlet Milani, Will Scarlett – Everly Johnson, Much the Miller’s Son – Harmony Buckner, Guy of Gisborne – Canyon Carter, Edward of Locksley – James Turpin, Esmerelda of Locksley – Aleah Brum, Alan A Dale – Sonja Truggsland, Lord Duncan – Harmony Buckner Abbess – Aelah Brum, Little John – James Turpin, King’s Deer – Natalie Keyes, Lady Ellen – Scarlett Milani, Evil Lord – Issac Chriswell, Honest Dave the Tinker – Gianna Marks, Lady Lucy – Aurora Tyrosroutis, Archery Butt – Paola Ahmadi, Sister Stephanie – Sylvester Maccarone, Sister Elena – Teegaen Cavallaro Savoie, Nathaniel Piper – Amy Weightman, William Church – Evelyn Carter, Daniel Boyle – Phoebe Davis, Bart Common – Aria Kornaros, Finn Lucky – Gianna Marks and Tobias – Paola Ahmadi.

The crew behind the scenes includes Karessa Rusaib Smith, Evan Rule, Maggie Tafoya,Gray Rule, Felix Gore, Zander Standen, Devon Foster, Sara Blalock and Owen Eastwood.

Finley is looking forward to the challenge of playing three versions of Robin Hood.

I think that I bring versatility to the role and that I’m flexible enough to play all three versions,” he said.

This is the most lines I’ve had to learn, ever.

Students and seniors pre-sale tickets are $5 and adults are $8.

There is an added $1 service fee for tickets purchased online.
