Three victories in a row as softball season continues

The momentum continues to grow as the Mariposa County Grizzlies varsity softball team squeaked by Denair last week, winning 8-7.

Senior Heely Patterson was a huge factor for the Grizzlies with three hits, two runs, two RBI and two stolen bases.

Kylee Hutchings and Alexa Morrow each had one run, one hit and one RBI.

Tylie Allison and Evalyn Lobaugh each scored a run for MCHS while Gillian Pioske had one hit and one RBI.

Jazmyne Lilley had one RBI and one stolen base while Abby Beery had one hit and one run.

Taylor Krull also had a hit for the Grizzlies.

On April 7, MCHS traveled to Modesto Christian to face the Crusaders for the first time this season.

The Grizzlies walked away with a huge win of 23-0.

After the win against Modesto Christian (0-3 in league), the MCHS held a league record of 4-1.

On April 9, the Grizzlies traveled to Delhi (2-5 in league) to take the field against the Hawks.

Results were not available at press time.

Next up, MCHS will host the Reds from Gustine (1-4 in league) on Friday, April 11.
