The Mariposa Bears football varsity and novice teams competed in the playoffs last weekend at the Gold Bowl. The novice age group won against the Tri-City Bulldogs, 32-19, to get into the Super Bowl. The varsity team was eliminated by the Ripon Chiefs, ending their playoff run. The novice Bears will face off against the Modesto Falcons on Sunday, Nov. 17 for the 2024 Trans Valley Youth Football League Super Bowl championship at Le Grand Union High School. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
